Sònia Cano Sanchez

Sònia Cano, director and teacher of the Ritmos Barcelona school.



I started my way in the world of dance as a Hip Hop dancer. My training was mainly focused on schools in Los Angeles, Paris and Barcelona. I was in several professional companies working all over Spain and part of Europe, participating in different events, both commercial brands, concerts, congresses, theatre shows, etc..



I also participated in several video clips with national singers.



In 2008 I started my training in Salsa Cubana/Casino, Timba Cubana, Son, Rumba Cubana, etc.



I joined a Cuban dance company run by one of the best international masters, where I stayed for several years.



I continued my career in another dance group, working and traveling both nationally and internationally, teaching classes at conferences and schools and dancing different shows.



Currently I have my own school, Ritmos Barcelona, where we work Salsa Cubana, Rumba Cubana, Timba Cubana, Son, Afrocubano, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Bachata.



I direct and choreograph two companies of girls and I am also co-director and choreographer in a mixed company of Cuban dances.
