Cassandra de Mercedes

My name is Cassandra de Mercedes and I am a professional Latin dancer as well the the owner / director of Academia de Baila con Pasión & the Organizer / Owner of BachaTour! with Baila con Pasión, a Dominican dance and cultural immersion experience.  My heart is in Bachata Tradicional and the folk dances of the Dominican Republic, though I also love Salsa!  I love to share my passion for these beautiful Latin dances both locally and around the world!  I am a true believer that dance changes lives for the better and I want to share that with as many people as is possible around the world!  I am deeply grateful that I get to do what I love with those that I love and I have dedicated my entire life to my craft starting my professional dance career at the age of 13 years old, in the ballet world.  Once I discovered Latin dance however, I realized that my heart was there and I have never looked back!  I love to continue my own personal studies and journey in dance so that I can bring that knowledge and experience back to my students, around the world.  

I teach both at our dance company classes locally in Minnesota, USA as well as at congresses and Festivals around the world.
