Virginia Bernabeu

From a very early age she began to dance jota, the regional dance of Zaragoza, her native city. Throughout his youth, he continued his training in various academies and teaching centers. In 1997 he taught his first classes in student residences and youth houses. In 1999 he moved to Valencia to begin his studies in Fine Arts, where he met "Carlos Carlos", a Cuban salsa teacher who made him see the world of Latin dance in a different way, and since then salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha cha cha and samba, became part of his life. Two years later, she was awarded a scholarship to move to Rome, where she began to teach and receive Latin dance classes and work regularly as a cheerleader. In 2003, a new scholarship took him to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where he joined one of the most recognized groups. He won several prizes at the Tenerife Carnival, the Audience Award and first prize for performance, among others. Collaborates in television programs in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Gran Canarias. He finally obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2004, and one year later the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude.

Artistic Works:

In 2005, thanks to Gavana Girls, the first female salsa group in Zaragoza, she made herself known at different congresses and events in Spain and has the opportunity to receive classes from some of the best dancers in the world. In 2007 he began to work with dancer and choreographer Falco Benalcázar performing choreographies of different styles. Bolero cha cha cha chá, Salsa, Afro, Mambo, Salsa competition.

p>2007 - 2012 Together with Falco, Virginia fulfills her dream. Dancing, representing Spain in some of the most important salsa congresses in the world: Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, China, Italy, France, Spain, Senegal, England, Poland, Norway, the Caribbean, Cuba, Serbia, Romania, Monaco, Andorra, Tunisia, Germany, USA, Turkey, French Guyana...

They take part in various local and international television and radio programmes on several occasions (Romania, French Guiana, Spain, France, Monaco, Eurosport...)

2008 - 2009 She is proclaimed Champion of Aragon and Sub-Champion of Spain with Falco Benalcázar, and in 2010 are proclaimed Champions of Salsa Open in Madrid. 2008 - 2012 Founder with Falco Benalcázar of the "Falco y Virginia" Dance School. They run the school and organize intensive events and workshops with international dancers related to Latin dance. She started to direct the Dance Academy "Virginia Bernabeu" and formed her own company: SOUL SALSA TEAM, with recognized dancers in the dance and Latin world.
