Erica Dardalló Parraga

I started dancing in 1993 when I was 4 years old in a dance academy with different disciplines, jazz, funky, flamenco, hiphop, dance... Until the year 2012. At the age of 16 I discovered salsa and it was the dance that I was most passionate about and most identified with and made me feel better. I signed up for ballroom dancing in an academy to do Latin dances until I was able to discover the world of social salsa and there I went... I took my first Los Angeles-style salsa course, a little bit of Cuban salsa and bachata, and that's where I met my teacher and partner Mario Layunta. In the year 2013 I trained in his academy Salsa del Barrio as a dancer and teacher for 18 months, doing with Andrea Razzotti dancers of the neighborhood and the Old school, training in the styles of salsa L.A Los Angeles, style of girls, chá chá, bachata ... Currently I am part of the Salsa del Barrio company as a professional dancer and teacher of the school and small big family of Seven Dance. I keep training in disciplines such as afro, rumba, columbia, yambu, flamenco, on2, guaguanco, pachanga... Dance is my engine that makes me feel alive and that every day I wake up happy and content to be able to share this way of life with each one of you.

Since I was a little girl, I was very clear that I wanted to be a dancer. At the age of 9 I entered the INSTITUT DEL TEATRE in Barcelona where I finished my classical dance studies. Then I entered the JOVE CIA. IT DANSA. At 18 I went to the cia. PORTUGUESA DU BAILADO CONTEMPORANEO in Lisbon with different tours around Europe. After a few years, I returned to Barcelona with the company. METROS and as a dancer/actress of the GRAN TEATRE DEL LICEU in Barcelona for several years. I discovered salsa in 2005 by chance. I entered the company SALSA DEL BARRIO where I trained in the style Salsa LA. Later, I danced solo with Cristian Figueroa. I formed the girl group LAS SUNDUNGUERAS with Sonia Ortiz. Currently, I am part of the CIA SALSA DEL BARRIO, I continue with the girls' group LAS SUNDUNGUERAS, I give amateur training in pairs with Mario Layunta, I have two girls' groups LAS SUNDUNGUERAS and THE CHANELS' LADIES and I give salsa LA, bachata and girls' style classes in different schools in Barcelona.

I define myself as a lover of dance and sport. I was introduced to the world of ballroom dancing as a child. I learned the different rhythms and their technical basis. When I was older, at 18, I recovered my hobby but this time from the Caribbean dances like salsa and bachata, where I enjoyed being able to dance in salsotecas and meet many people. Currently, I am competing in the highest national category of sports dance in the modality of Latin dances. I am a teacher of directed activities, such as Zumba, and a teacher of ballroom dancing in Seven Dance. Dancing is my passion and I enjoy it every day.
