Swing is in the Air

Welcome to Swing is in the Air, the Swing dance school in Tarragona. Since the end of 2012 we have been holding dance classes in the city and have been increasing our offer since then, adapting to the growing demand for lindy hoppers in the area.

At the dance school, for now, we teach three different specialties of swing dancing.
The lindy hop, the most famous and versatile of all. Very rhythmic and cheerful; for us it is good for dancing to all kinds of rhythms. It is in a couple and seek connection with her at all times. We don't want choruses, it's a social dance, we love to improvise. Clock out for it to stick, and a lot.

Jazz steps/Charleston, similar to lindy hop, but to sun dance. Steps and routines to dance or gain a technique to be introduced in your lindy.
Blues, the slowest and most sensual variation of swing dances. Maximum connection with the partner and the music. Let yourself fall from the relaxation and creativity that allows you to exploit the slow pace.

Swing dancing is available to everyone, children, young and old alike. If you've always loved jazz and blues you'll love to dance to it, it's just a matter of playing it! We will help you make these first steps and in no time you will be able to go dancing at one of the many dance meeting places in the area, and there are more and more. Come and try!!!
