Yanet Fuentes Torres is one of the most celebrated Cuban salsa and Afro-Cuban dance artists in the world, born in Havana and now based in the UK. A graduate with honours from the National School of Contemporary and Folkloric Dance in Havana, she is a three-time winner (2001, 2002, 2004) of the professional couples category at the Tropicana World Salsa Championships in London. Yanet starred as lead dancer in the hit musical 'Lady Salsa' directed by Toby Gough, appeared in the 2014 film 'Cuban Fury', and was named Best Female Cuban Salsa Dancer at the Cuban Salsa Awards in 2006. Her television credits include BBC's 'So You Think You Can Dance' and 'Strictly Dance Fever', and she has performed alongside Shakira, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Craig David.
