Vitor Mendes, full name Vitor Tavares Mendes, is a Portuguese dancer, instructor, and choreographer with Cape Verdean roots who has been based in Prague since founding Kizomba Prague. In 2015 he created Ghetto Zouk Dance, a kizomba-rooted method built around the energy and rhythm of ghetto zouk music, emphasizing close frame, dynamic footwork, and a 50/50 shared leading principle. Since 2012 he has taught kizomba in more than 47 cities worldwide, offering regular classes, boot camps, and workshops in Prague. He has also worked as a musician, releasing new material including a 2019 single, and continues to perform at kizomba and ghetto zouk events internationally.
