Dimitris Psychogyios is an Athens-born salsa dancer, teacher, and choreographer who has been shaping the Greek Latin dance scene for nearly two decades. In 2008, he founded La Secta Dance Company, the first and pioneering NY style (On2) salsa school in Greece, based in Athens. A decorated competitor, Dimitris holds 7 Greek Salsa Champion titles, took 1st place at the World Salsa Meeting in 2014, and placed 3rd at the World Latin Dance Cup in 2013. Under the name 'Dimitris y su Secta', he performs and teaches internationally, having appeared at major festivals in cities including New York, Miami, Berlin, Dubai, London, and Medellin. He is also a certified instructor of Salsanama by Fernando Sosa and has been collaborating with Bersy Cortez's group African Mambo since 2023.
