Imenella Mohamed is a dancer, choreographer and musician based in Stockholm, Sweden, and one of the co-founders of the feminist dance collective Unruly Gang, established in 2013 in Rinkeby. Born in Somalia and raised in the Stockholm suburb of Tensta, she has dedicated her career to making dancehall accessible and empowering, running free weekly classes that regularly draw 40+ participants. Unruly Gang is behind some of Sweden's first dancehall stage productions, performing at prestigious venues including Dansens Hus and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, and has toured nationally with Riksteatern. Imenella also pursues a music career, having toured with artist Linda Pira, and continues to push dancehall into new spaces across Scandinavia and beyond.
