Born in Cáceres and living in Málaga since 2005, Ney began her artistic training at a very early age in theater and rhythmic gymnastics. Her passion for the exotic soon led her to take an interest in the Arab world, and it was on a trip to Tunisia that she decided, intoxicated by that culture, to move to Málaga and study for a degree in Arabic, English, and French translation and interpretation, as well as to begin taking classes in oriental dance, Bollywood, and classical ballet.
Her dedication and enthusiasm soon led to an offer to teach oriental dance in the Leisure and Free Time Program of the Alhaurín de la Torre City Council and at the DFlow professional dance and theater school in Malaga.
The following year, she was offered two university scholarships to spend a year in London and another in Paris as a Spanish language assistant. Without hesitation, she embarked on this new adventure, where she had the opportunity to learn from great masters of oriental dance and Bollywood such as Hossam and Serena Ramzy, Mistri, Zaza Hasam, Sadie Manquart, and others. She also taught oriental dance classes at the Student Union of Royal Holloway University of London, worked with two major Bollywood and oriental dance companies in Paris, Bolly Dewani and Nourdance, and gave intensive monthly workshops in Brussels.
Back in Malaga, she has taught classes for years at Najmarabic, the oriental dance association of Álora Bastet, Alhaurín de la Torre, and Salares. She worked as a dancer with the Tot Dance company, performing in oriental and modern shows throughout the Costa del Sol, and has directed her own charity dance-theater show in Alhaurín de la Torre for three consecutive years.
Currently, in 2018, she has decided to return to her hometown, Cáceres, to start new projects and try to expand oriental dance in places where it is not so widespread. She teaches classes at the Coppelia dance academy in Nuevo Cáceres and at the Mejostilla neighborhood association.
