La Candela Salsa Orchestra

Musical group

Description

La Candela is a young orchestra that seeks to make a gap between the preferences of Salsa dancers.

Our proposal is aimed at "engaging" the dancer with primordial salsa rhythms such as son montuno, guaguancó, mambo or cha cha cha cha. That's why we've tried to compose a group that recovers the sound of the time when what is now known as Salsa was forged.

The band is made up of seven musicians from Tenerife (Canary Islands) who mix youth and experience. Some of them are still studying at the conservatory and the older ones have already been part of bands and shared stage with international guras, such as Tito Nieves, Tony Vega, Adalberto Santiago, Cheo Feliciano, Luisito Carrión, Manolito Simonet, Pedro Brull, etc.

> Our intention is, above all, to make people enjoy themselves in the most direct way possible, and this is only possible with live music. Our target audience is the dancer of what is known as Salsa en Línea, a great consumer of this type of music. We are therefore making every effort to reach the various salsa festivals and congresses held around the world and at any time of the year.

"We want to show that the marriage between live salsa and the dancer is possible and lasting"
