João Fanha & Raquel Santos

They are a pair of dancers and teachers specializing in Salsa, Mambo and Cha Cha Cha. They have been working together since 2007, developing show work all over the country and developing their own pedagogical proposal, which led to the creation of the Studio 8 project, which has been revitalizing since 2008. Their work is especially linked to New York's Latin cultural experience through its Dance expression, musical and other. They work Salsa from their roots in the Son, Mambo and Cha Cha Cha through the intercultural experience of the 40s, 50s and 60s. They are precursors to the teaching of Salsa no 2 in Portugal. In addition to this they develop a work especially focused on the technique of conduction and improvisation, with great pedagogical influences of the Argentine Tango and Contemporary Dance.
