The International Salsa Championship for Social Dancers is a unique competition, created to highlight the true essence of social dancing.
There are no rehearsed choreographies or preselected music: couples don’t know the song until the moment they step on the dance floor. Improvisation, musical interpretation, connection between partners, and authenticity are what the judges value most.
The championship features three categories:
Amateur: couples formed by two amateur social dancers.
Pro-Am: couples formed by a professional dancer and an amateur dancer.
Professional: couples formed by two professional dancers.
In every category, couples compete against other couples — never with each other — as this is a partner dance competition. The focus is on connection, timing, and the quality of their social dance interpretation.
But this event is more than just a competition. Over two unforgettable days, the experience expands with social dancing nights, spectacular shows, and performances that make this a unique event — a place to compete, dance, connect, learn, and enjoy salsa in an international and vibrant atmosphere.
This is not just another dance festival.
It’s a celebration of social dancing, bringing together dancers from around the world, united by one shared passion: Salsa.
