FAQs

What exactly is included in the package?

Your package includes a full festival pass with access to all workshops and parties, 3 nights in a shared bungalow with a private bathroom and AC, a guided Tara rafting experience with all necessary safety equipment, and full board according to the program: dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, and breakfast on Monday.

Are drinks included in the package?

Drinks are not included in the package. A wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at the venue throughout the event at fair and affordable prices

Are vegan and vegetarian meal options available?

Absolutely! Vegan and vegetarian meals are available throughout the event. Around three months before we meet in Bosnia, our team will personally contact you to learn about your dietary preferences and any other special requests. We’ll do our best to make sure you feel comfortable, cared for and ready to enjoy every part of the experience.

How does the €150 deposit work?

You can secure your place by paying a €150 deposit when booking. The deposit locks in the current package price, and the remaining balance is paid upon arrival at the venue. The deposit is non-refundable, but if you can no longer attend, a name change is allowed.

What is the accommodation like?

You’ll stay in comfortable shared bungalows right at the festival venue, surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Tara Canyon. Each bungalow accommodates 4 to 6 guests and includes air conditioning and a private bathroom.

Coming with friends? You can all stay together in the same bungalow. Travelling solo? Many of our guests do! We’ll connect you with other solo travellers, making it easy to meet new people and feel part of the experience from the moment you arrive.

How do I get to the venue?

We recommend flying to Sarajevo International Airport. Our team organizes shuttles directly to the venue from Friday to Monday, based on our guests’ flight times. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and costs €25 one way or €50 return, paid on site. Simply send us your flight details, and we’ll coordinate your transfer.

Dubrovnik and Tuzla airports are also great alternatives, although we do not organize shuttles from these locations. They are perfect if you would like to explore more of the region before or after the festival. We highly recommend turning your journey into a road trip - the scenery throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina is truly beautiful.

Where do we dance?

All workshops and parties take place on a spacious, high-quality parquet dance floor designed for hours of comfortable dancing. The dance area is air-conditioned, well ventilated and provides all the conditions you need to fully enjoy every workshop and party. And whenever you need a break, fresh mountain air and the beautiful nature of the Tara Canyon are waiting just outside.

Do I need previous rafting experience?

Not at all! No previous rafting experience is required, and beginners are very welcome. In fact, around 90% of our participants experience rafting for the first time with us. Before entering the river, you’ll receive clear instructions from the rafting team, and experienced guides will accompany you throughout the adventure.

Is rafting safe?

Yes - your safety is our top priority. The rafting experience is led by professional guides from Rafting Center RT, which has more than 17 years of experience on the Tara River. All necessary safety equipment is included, and you’ll receive clear instructions before entering the river. Your guide will be with you throughout the entire route, so even if it’s your first time, you can relax and enjoy this unforgettable adventure.

Can I participate if I don’t want to go rafting?

Absolutely! Rafting is a special part of the experience, but it’s never obligatory. You can spend the day by the river, explore the surrounding nature, go hiking, check out other local activities such as zip-lining, or simply slow down and enjoy a peaceful day in one of Bosnia’s most beautiful landscapes. Then, rejoin everyone for dinner, workshops and another unforgettable night of dancing.

Is it cold in April?

April in the Tara Canyon is spring at its most beautiful - nature is waking up, the river is full of life and the mountains are turning green again. Mountain weather can be pleasantly unpredictable, with mild sunny days and cooler mornings and evenings. Bring comfortable layers and a warm jacket.

For rafting, all necessary equipment and safety gear will be provided at the venue, so you only need to bring your adventurous spirit!

Is this event for everyone?

No, it’s not for everyone. Bachata Rafting takes place in the heart of nature, surrounded by mountains, rivers and endless greenery - far away from traffic and city noise. It’s for bachata lovers with an adventurous spirit, who enjoy exploring new places, connecting with people and waking up to the sounds of nature. If you’re ready to exchange the ordinary for four unforgettable days of dancing, rafting and adventure, this event is for you.
