🏆 Bachata Social Cup Romania is the national league dedicated to authentic social bachata dancing. 💃🕺 Competing in a Jack & Jill format, dancers are paired with randomly assigned partners and evaluated on connection, musicality, adaptability, and social dance skills. 🎶 Through regional qualifiers across the country, participants earn points and climb the rankings for a chance to qualify for the Grand Final in Bucharest and compete for the national title. 🇷🇴✨

Dancers will perform to randomly selected music, with no choreography or pre-arranged routines allowed. Competitors are evaluated by a panel of renowned international judges, who will assess timing, technique, musical interpretation, partner connection, and overall performance.

❓ Who can participate?

The competition is open to all festival participants. Whether you're an experienced social dancer or looking for a new challenge, everyone is welcome to join.

❓ How do I register?

Registration details, deadlines, and all possible information can be found through the official event organizers ( instagram : @bachatasocialcupro ) However, if you have any question, don't hesitate to contact us through our instagram ( @bachatasocialcupro ) or email (bachatasocialcupro@gmail.com) .

❓ How will I be judged?

An international and national panel of judges will evaluate musicality, connection, technique, creativity, adaptability, and overall dance quality. Choreography, lifts, acrobatics are strictly prohibited.

❓ How does the competition format work?

Typically, competitors dance in preliminary rounds with randomly assigned partners. Selected dancers advance to semifinals and finals, where they continue dancing with different partners. In the final round, competitors may be paired with judges, allowing for both direct partner assessment and overall performance evaluation.

❓ What music will be used?

Competitors will dance to randomly selected bachata tracks chosen by the DJ. Music will not be announced in advance.

❓ Are there prizes?

Yes! Winners and finalists will receive awards and prizes ,

❓ When and where will the competition take place?

The Jack & Jill Bachata Competition will take place on Friday night as part of the main festival program, in the main location.

❓ Can I watch if I'm not competing?

Absolutely! Spectators are welcome to enjoy the competition, support participants, and experience the energy of one of the festival's most exciting events. Spectators, however, needs to be part of the festival ( full pass or party pass requierd). Spectator passes are not available for this event.
