HOW is this festival unique and different? It’s the combination of:
- VENUE. You may have never danced in a palace like this! Main historic hall of 500 m2 with 2 19th century chandeliers and air-condition, two other large ballroom halls and several other rooms for special trainings and wellness. Day socials are happening outdoor at nearby park.
- BALANCED LINE-UP ACROSS ALL MAIN BACHATA STYLES. We have workshops connected to cultural roots like Bolero, Merengue and Dominican Bachata, then Sensual Social and contemporary Bachata and then innovations like ConRi, Influence, BachaZouk, BachaTango, Role Rotation and other Creative concepts.
- CAREFULLY CHOSEN LINE-UP FOR BOTH TEACHING AND SOCIALS. Artists are chosen for more than their dancing. One criterion is that they are also a great teachers, but we also intentionally invite artists who are known for being approachable, joining the social floor and engaging with the community.
- BALANCE OF MUSIC ON PARTIES IN 3 PARTY ROOMS. During night parties, apart from mix of music in the main room, there will be two other specialised rooms: ConRi Room with Remixes and Dominican Room with mix of Classical, Traditional and new Dominican Bachata songs, Merengue, Bolero, Salsa.
- CAREFULLY DESIGNED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT: FESTIVAL WHERE YOU CAN REALLY LEARN AND DEVELOP AS A DANCER!
Why? It’s a combination of these factors:
- VARIETY OF CHOICE: 3 Fullpass levels across 3 rooms, plus special masterclasses
- ENOUGH TIME TO LEARN: A combination of 80- and 60-minutes workshops
- REST TO LEARN: 10 minutes breaks between workshops, along with longer break after 3 workshops
- TEACHING QUALITY: Artists selected not only for performance and popularity, but also for their ability to teach, explain and develop dancers.
- ENJOY THE SHOWS OR SOCIAL DANCE: You can always choose. Enjoy shows and competitions (Jack & Jill, Pro Footwork Battle), or social dance. There will always be a room available for social dancing from 20:00 until 4:30 both on Friday and Saturday
- ENJOY MOST, IF NOT ALL DEMOS. Are you sometimes sad you missed demo of some artist? Thanks to AzuRecords system, all demos are happening at the same main room after teaching time finished - so if you want, you can watch them all!
- NO-RECORDING SOCIAL HOURS. During selected hours in the Main Balance Room, cameras stay away and the dance floor becomes a space simply to dance, connect and be present. Prefer to record? The other party rooms remain available for recordings.
- CHALLENGE YOURSELF AT JACK & JILL: Independent Jack & Jill powered by Bachata Social World Cup.
- Jack & Jill Open will be limited to 40 leaders and 40 followers, so judges have enough time to evaluate each participant. It will take place on Friday 20:00-23:00. It’s open for everyone. Are you ready to have fun and take on the challenge?
- CHALLENGE YOURSELF AT ROYAL RUMBLE: OFFICIAL QUALIFIER FOR 2028 SOLO BACHATA KINGDOM FINALS! Solo Footwork Battle Competition.
- Royal Rumble is open to dancers of any gender, but limited to 24 competitors. It's happening on Saturday 20:00-22:00 with solo prelims and then spectator favourite knockout format: quarter-finals → semi-finals → final.
- DAY SOCIALS OUTDOOR AT NEARBY PARK. Plan your pause outside in beautiful park close to the venue and enjoy social dancing outside.
- WE THINK ABOUT YOUR WELL-BEING. We plan several things to make your well-being better.
- Night socials start already at 20:00 and end at 4:30 or 5:00. Choose according to your preferred circadian rhythm.
- Workshops are separated by 10 or 15-minute breaks, and no more than three workshops run consecutively, giving you some time to rest and reduce cognitive overload.
- Wellness room with massage option (there will be a masseur available at the venue) and yoga & stretching sessions with relaxing music.

We believe a festival should:
1. Contribute to healthy values and standards in the international Bachata community
2. Create a learning environment for effective education
3. Create a friendly, safe and healthy environment for safe social dancing for everybody, no matter the level, style preference or circadian rhythm
It’s about balance: Respectful conversations of different points of view.
Bachata Balance is offering space for meeting different Bachata styles and approaches to support one community of Bachata joy.
- ORGANIZATION EXPERIENCE. Bachata Balance is a community-driven project created out of genuine love for dancing and learning, currently with 8 members. Even though it exists only from the end of 2025, founder Mauritius has been organising successful dance festivals since 2021 and holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, which informs the festival's learning design. We repeatedly receive feedback that our local events, such as Bachata Balance Days, feel warm, genuine and friendly. We believe that atmosphere comes from being dancers and learners ourselves. Simply, we are dancers creating events for dancers.
All these factors have one overarching goal:
