Xplosion Event

I would not recommend RITMO/Explosion Berlin May 2025 to international dancers or to the people outside Germany because of the following reasons ( I have been to 55 countries and at least to a dozens of international Bachata festivals in Europe and North America):
1. Cost - Cost of party pass turned out to be 100 Euros after fees etc. and I found that to be a rip off considering the venue of the festival and its schedule/program. Individual night party tickets would have costed 75 Euros for 2 night parties that's a lot for what appeared to be a small, local week-end dance fest.
2. Venue - Venue felt like a very local and run down place where your average/regular week-end dance socials take place. It was not a good hotel/conference center. It was a cheap place with a small room on top and one main room on lower level. Main room floor was slippery especially, if you were dance shoes/sneakers like Fuego etc.
3. Organization - On first night (Friday night), people who came in to check-in, collect their bracelets were made to stand in a line-up out side the venue (like you would line-up for regular top 40 clubs) and it was cold.
4. Pre-Party - The WORST PRE-PARTY OF MY LIFETIME! Thanks to SODA Club. Even though pre-party was not sold as a part of the festival, it was an official pre-party of this festival and it was the worst festival pre-parties ever. It was at Soda Club. It was a total sausage-fest meaning, there were 3-4 leaders per follower and the followers were dancing mostly with the local leaders (their friends ) who must be going there regularly for dance social. So, if you are a leader but not a local then never ever go to this Soda Club either for a social or for any pre-parties of festivals.
On a positive note, the staff who was managing the RITMO Instagram was very responsive and friendly. And, at the main night parties, there were enough followers for the leaders and good vibes from most of the followers especially, from the international ones :)

It would be nice to have the possibility to buy a Masterpass only and not to be forced to buy a Party or a Full Pass too.
