Berlin Zouk Festival

The event was held in a room suitable for a maximum of 30 people, and tickets were sold for approximately 120-150. There was no room to dance, both at the parties and during the workshops. The music was frequently interrupted for ventilation, which was ineffective. The organizer didn't allow the windows to be opened, and the room wasn't ventilated, which meant the floor was constantly wet and sticky, unsuitable for dancing. There was no place to freshen up – the single co-ed restroom was never cleaned. The organizers didn't maintain proportions, and there were far too many women without partners. Despite the instructors' best efforts, it was impossible to learn anything because there was no room to dance. Compared to similar events, this was the worst I've ever been to.

Unfortunately I have to say that no other dance event I have been to could compare to the low quality of this one. I did not have high expectations and still they were undercut… It was obvious the event could not work in this location. I do not understand why you would organise a dance event - something people go to out of passion - with seemingly so little passion. So many people left very frustrated and I was very sad to hear and see that and to now have the bad reputation for Zouk events in Berlin. A reputation is difficult to restore…
To end the note with something positive - even though I also feel sorry for the artists that had to work and dance under these circumstances - the artists did their job as well as they could I’m sure!

Great schedule and artist! Only the location was a little bit hard. Dance floor was not good for turning and the heat in the room was to much to handle. But the organizer tried its best to comfort everybody with free water and food which was very nice 🫶
Will definitely return for the next festival!
