The Conservatory is the result of an agreement between the Provincial Council of Albacete and the Department of Education, Science and Culture, the latter having absorbed the professional dance studies of the Royal Professional Conservatory of Music and Dance, which is dependent on the said Council. It was inaugurated in September 2007 by the President of Castilla-La Mancha, José María Barreda, in May 2008.

The system of school participation and management is governed by the Laws and Regulations established by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of Castilla La Mancha.

It has an infrastructure of approximately 3,000 m2 built, distributed on the ground floor and two storeys high, with a basement of machinery for air conditioning, boiler room and fire prevention.

It has 12 dance rooms distributed in 3 for the speciality of Spanish dance, 3 for contemporary dance and 6 for classical dance with dimensions between 98 and 100 m2 per room, as corresponds to the needs of these disciplines. We also have 3 theoretical classrooms for the teaching of complementary subjects such as the anatomy of dance, the history of dance, etc., 2 classrooms for the teaching of the subject of music and Make-up Room.

Other educational facilities are: 1 multipurpose room of about 133 m2 for performances for the public, library, teachers' room and 4 tutorials.

The rest of the units are: the administration area with management offices, head of studies and secretary, secretary, concierge and a unit for AMPA meetings.

We also have several material warehouses, cleaning rooms, elevator, cafeteria, changing rooms and toilets, distributed over the different floors.
