East London Bachata is a growing London-based dance community founded by Flori Bachata (Florian Piquemal) - a French-born Bachata Sensual instructor trained by Korke & Judith, the creators of the style - and joined by Heidi Peakman, Latin Dance Artist & certified Bachata Sensual Instructor.

Our mission is simple: to make Bachata Sensual accessible, elegant, and fun for everyone – from absolute beginners to passionate social dancers.

We host weekly classes and socials, including the popular Blackheath Bachata Thursdays at Tziganos, featuring a friendly, inclusive atmosphere and a mix of Foundations, Combinations, and Social Dancing.

Each class focuses on:

• Clear structure and progressive learning
• Building confidence, connection, and community
• Our teaching follows the authentic Bachata Sensual methodology developed in Cádiz, Spain, emphasising correct posture, conscious movement, and injury prevention – so you learn safely and dance beautifully.
