LUIS ESTEVEZ - RITMO TROPICAL
Not just dance, but a lifestyle
Luis Estevez received extensive dance training at the Dance Academy in Holguin and the National Dance Academy in Havana, Cuba, and graduated with a high school diploma and dance diploma.
In 1994, he joined the "Theatro de la Danza de Cuba," whose tour through Austria eventually brought him to Vienna. Workshops and project work with Erwin Piplits/Odeon Theater, Midu el Gohary, Susan Quinn, David Zambrano, Viviane Serry, Nikolaus Harnoncourt...
In 2003, he founded his dance company "Ritmo Tropical," and after many years of teaching in various dance studios, he opened his own dance studio, "RITMO TROPICAL," in 2008.
In his classes, he teaches a blend of Afro Cubano, Son, Salsa, Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Cumbia, Hip Hop, and Modern Dance. He has created his own style from all this repertoire.
