The Preservation Project: A Festival of Legacy
More than just a festival, this event is the living culmination of a lifetime dedicated to preserving and sharing the profound heritage of Afro-Cuban music and dance.
This rich folkloric tradition is the essential foundation beneath virtually all modern Cuban music and dance. In today's fast-paced world, with the pervasive influence of social media, Hip Hop, and Reggaeton, this deep-rooted knowledge is sadly diminishing among younger generations in Cuba. Our festival stands as a dedicated minority's vital answer to this cultural challenge, ensuring the lineage endures.
Training at the Source
This cultural transplant is meticulously crafted by the legendary Maestro Domingo Pau and Luanda, in collaboration with their trusted network of family, friends, students, and the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba. We realized the time was right to build an immersive, dedicated space where a dancer's passion—often sparked at other events—can find the deep growth and mastery it needs.
Driven by authentic knowledge, this annual journey is designed to provide an essential foundation for excellence, empowering teachers, group leaders, and dedicated individuals alike. Join this crucial mission: your presence and commitment are the forces that help this vital cultural seed grow into a magnificent, enduring representation of Cuban dance and music.
